Privacy Policy
Effective date: Upon launch of this website. Last updated: August 7, 2026
Overview
Your privacy matters to us, both in our practice and on this website. This policy explains what information we collect through theshifttx.com, how we use it, who it is shared with, and what choices you have.
This policy covers our website only. It is not our Notice of Privacy Practices, which describes how we handle protected health information as a client of the practice. If you are a current client, that separate notice governs your clinical records and is provided to you as part of intake.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you complete a form on this site, we collect what you choose to provide. Most forms collect contact information only, including your name, phone number, email address, and the page from which you submitted. They intentionally ask no health questions. Some insurance and referral forms ask for health-related details so we can route your request appropriately. Information that includes health details is transmitted, stored, and handled securely in accordance with HIPAA.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we collect standard technical information when you visit, including IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and the site or search that referred you.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry and schedule a consultation
- To send you a booking link or follow up about a request you made
- To understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it
Cookies and tracking technologies
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with the site and to measure general conversion activity. It collects standard log and behavior information, including IP address, and transmits it to Google, which stores it on servers in the United States. Google Analytics does not receive information typed into our forms, and it is not loaded on pages about health conditions or on the insurance referral form.
Google Maps
Our location pages embed Google Maps, which may set cookies from Google.
Data pixels
We may use advertising pixels for conversion tracking only on general pages that do not capture health information. No diagnosis or medical condition information is ever sent through them.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who your information is shared with
- Our practice management system. Bookings and client records are handled in Jane, our HIPAA-compliant practice management platform.
- Our secure intake storage. Form submissions are delivered to a secure, access-controlled repository maintained for the practice and used to contact you about your inquiry.
- Our marketing partner. Pixel Drip Studio operates our website on our behalf under a Business Associate Agreement.
- Analytics providers. Google receives the technical and usage information described above.
- When required by law, or when necessary to prevent serious harm.
We do not share your information with anyone else without your consent.
An important note about web forms and email
We take every precaution to keep what you send us secure. Our forms transmit over encrypted connections and are processed through secure channels. As with any information submitted online, a degree of risk is always assumed by the sender, so please use caution when sharing information through any website or by email. If you would rather discuss something private, call us at (713) 396-0257 or raise it in session.
If you are in crisis
This website is not monitored for emergencies and we cannot respond to urgent needs through it. If you are experiencing thoughts of suicide or self-harm, call or text 988, text HOME to 741741, or call 911.

Requests to delete information do not extend to clinical records, which we are required to retain under Texas law and professional regulations.
How long we keep information
We retain website inquiry information for 24 months, unless you become a client, in which case your records are governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices and applicable record-retention requirements.
